It's never to late for love

It's never to late to love. This past weekend I was reminded of that fact when I witnessed Debbie and Phil exchange wedding vows. Even though Debbie and Phil are not your 20 something bride and groom, it did not mean that they wanted anything less for their wedding. Going with small vintage touches and bringing in their love of canoeing made this event fun and personal. Starting with an intmate 75 guest ceremony and which lead into a fun feathered reception.
The reception was held at the Univeristy Center at UNF. Tammy Woodcock provided the teapot and teacup center pieces filled with varing shades of pink.

A Day at the Yacht Club

A Day at the Yacht Club...

On May 5th, G.G. Events had the pleasure of being a part of Katy and Andrews' Wedding at Queen's Harbour Yacht Club. It was a beautiful sunny day with just the right amount of breeze blowing for their outdoor ceremony. I have to say the ceremony was beautiful not only visually, but the vows and emotion that these two people had was something I will never forget. Plus, it was my first where the Bride and Groom updated their Facebook page at the altar.

After the ceremony guest where invited into the club house for some southern sweet ice tea at their Ice Tea Bar. Guest loved all the fruit and fixings to make their own glasses of tea. The bride also provided custom straws to match the wedding colors and theme.

With the colors of peach and aqua repeated around the room the cake stood out as a lovely sweet tower of soft peach color and a simple cluster of Ranunculus, with red velvet, chocolate and almond cake inside.

This wedding was a perfect mix of love, faith and simple southern accents. G.G. Events wishes Katy and Andrew all the best in their future together.

Savanna and Dave 10/8/11

I am going back to one of the worst storms of the year, but it turned out to be a great wedding day for Savanna and Dave. It did not matter that after all the careful and long hours of plan and numerous site visits that their ceremony took place in a off the wall wing of the resort where their outdoor wedding was to take place. Moments before their wedding was to take place I and the other vendors were grabbing chairs and umbrella for their guest to move them to the new location. ( We had a back up plan that at the last minute the resort told us we could not do). The rain stopped just as the bride was to walk down the aisle. The ceremony started and the storm that had cause such chaos was done. This is one of my favorite weddings even with a not so helpful venue and a storm, the love that this couple has is what reminds me why I do what I do. The smile on Dave's face was so big and it never left his face, it only got bigger as the night went on.
Savanna carried a bouquet of pink and ivory peonies along with a photo locket carrying a picture of her late father, so he could still be with her walking down the aisle.
Their reception was one of rich colors of purple and gold to fit in the with Mediterranean style venue. We had purple up lighting with their monogram on the dance floor and tall and low centerpiece to help give guest something to look at in the very tall and open room. The overall effect was breath taking.

The bride and groom made little personal touches all over the room. The tables were named after places, people and even their dog with a little note about each on the card so guest could connect with the story of their relationship. The bride had us place keys around the room for her connection to her father. We had their monogram on menu cards and programs to tie everything together.
G.G. Events was so blessed to be apart of Savanna and Dave's wedding. We wish them all the happiness in the world on their marriage and furture together.
